Summer Pearl
NEW ADDITION TO SOUL OF THE SOUTH
Next up in our curated series…
Summer Pearl, a London-born artist whose music is as honest and boundary-less as the life experiences that shape it.
Writing, recording and performing since the age of 16, across the UK and around the world, Summer Pearl has built a reputation for care-free live performances and lyrics that cut straight to the point. Her sound draws from Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B and Reggae, channelling the experiences of her ancestors, her womanhood, and her own life into something deeply personal and quietly political.
In her own words: "My music is a reflection of my past and a meditation of our present."
Now, she brings that truth to Freight Brixton.
Soul of the South celebrates high-quality live music, accessible, authentic, and putting the music back where it belongs.

FREIGHT BRIXTON PRESENTS: SOUL OF THE SOUTH
Two of the UK's most compelling rising voices. One rooftop. This summer.
BaggE is a North London neo-soul singer and songwriter whose sound runs deep, Congolese heritage, jazz-infused vocals, and a lineage that traces back to Etta James, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Featured by Clash Magazine and NME, and with a voice that's travelled as far as a Papa John's international campaign, she's been quietly building something undeniable since 2019.
ROZZZQWEEN is Birmingham-born, London-based, and impossible to ignore. A raspy vocal, fearless stage presence and the kind of emotional range that works as well up close as it does commanding a crowd. BBC Introducing's One To Watch 2026, Artist of the Month, and championed on Radio 1 by Jess Iszatt, she's fast becoming one of the most exciting names in UK music right now.
Catch them both on the rooftop this summer
