This summer, Freight Brixton takes over Thursdays with eight FREE rooftop live shows in partnership with Cross The Tracks. We’re turning London’s largest rooftop into a weekly open-air session for serious music lovers, bringing big energy, proper community vibes and world-class sound back to the heart of Brixton. This is the first show kicking it all off.
GRAMMY-winning duo Blue Lab Beats bring their immersive 10 year anniversary live show to Freight Brixton to perform there new album as well as the old classics on Thursday 7th May. Known for their work on Angelique Kidjo’s Mother Nature, which won Best Global Music Album, and with over 84 million streams to date, NK-OK and Mr DM blend drums, bass, live horns, keys, guitar and guest vocals into a powerful fully live experience.
Their fourth album Blue Eclipse on Blue Note Records features Kojey Radical, Daley, Amber Navran and Farah Audhali, marking a bold new chapter, and follows standout performances at Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. Expect deep grooves, soulful rhythms and a boundary-pushing fusion of jazz, soul and electronic sound.
David Rodigan
Legendary DJ and broadcaster David Rodigan comes to Freight Brixton on Saturday, 9th May for an unmissable day of reggae, dancehall, and sound system culture. With a career spanning over four decades, Rodigan is celebrated worldwide for his encyclopedic knowledge of Jamaican music and his ability to read a crowd like no other.
From chart-topping hits to rare dubplates, his sets deliver pure energy, authenticity, and groove, earning him respect from fans and artists alike. Having hosted shows on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and performed at iconic festivals and clubs around the globe, Rodigan continues to shape and inspire generations of music lovers.

IYAMAH
We welcome our second Cross The Tracks Thursday takeover with acclaimed R&B and soul artist IYAMAH, on Thursday, 21st May.
Growing up on the sounds of African drumming and reggae in Brighton, IYAMAH began using the piano as a diary-like outlet, developing her songwriting from age twelve, inspired by Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, and India Arie. A Cross The Tracks alumni, she moved to North London to study at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, winning a scholarship for Best Vocals.
Her debut Truth EP.1 gained international attention, leading to tours with Mahalia and Masego. She has performed at festivals including Cross The Tracks, Lost Village, and R&L, and sold out headline shows at London venues like The Jazz Café, O’MEARA, and Lafayette. With over 35 million streams and support from BBC Introducing, BBC 1Xtra, Elton John, and The Joe Budden Podcast, IYAMAH continues to impress.
Known for her soulful R&B style, which she calls “Rootsy Soul,” she blends her musical influences into storytelling focused on identity, self-worth, and female empowerment.
Ghosts Of Garage
Ghosts of Garage are one of the UK’s most respected UK garage collectives, known for their high-energy sets that blend classic garage, bassline, and contemporary club bangers. Emerging from the UK garage revival scene, they have built a reputation for delivering infectious, expertly mixed sets that pay homage to the golden era of garage while keeping the sound fresh and modern.
With a focus on dancefloor-ready grooves and crowd-pleasing classics, Ghosts of Garage consistently bring raw energy and authenticity to every performance. They’ve played at major clubs and events across the UK, helping to keep the UK garage scene alive and evolving.

Zeñel
Kicking off our third Cross The Tracks Thursday takeover, London-based, genre-bending band Zeñel bring their electrifying live show to Freight Brixton on Thursday, 4th June.
Fusing jazz improvisation with electronic styles like Grime, UK Drill, Drum & Bass, and Afrobeats, Zeñel are known for their unique use of MIDI and computer-based sound design in a fully live, organic setting.
Led by trumpeter and producer Laurence Wilkins, with drummer Zoe Pascal and keyboard virtuosos Jay Verma and Alex Wilson, the band creates a poetic, high-energy fusion of jazz and electronic dance music.
Key releases include the Extreme Sports EP (2020), the Zeñel 5IVE album (2023), and the forthcoming TILDE EP (2024/25). They’ve performed at Ronnie Scott’s, Love Supreme, Brainchild Festival, Southbank Centre, and the London Jazz Festival, gaining acclaim on Worldwide FM and BBC Radio 3. Expect heavy grooves, experimental sounds, and a truly immersive live experience.
Dimitri From Paris
Dimitri from Paris is a legendary French DJ and producer celebrated for his sophisticated blend of disco, house, and funk. Rising to prominence in the 1990s, he became known for his expertly crafted edits and remixes, including remixes for artists like Frank Sinatra, Donna Summer, and The Rolling Stones.
A true tastemaker, Dimitri’s sets are renowned for their groove, elegance, and infectious energy, seamlessly blending classic disco, rare funk, and soulful house. He has performed at iconic clubs and festivals worldwide, from Paris and Ibiza to London and New York, influencing generations of DJs and dance music lovers.

London-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Ed Black (edbl) brings his soulful, hip-hop-infused grooves to Freight Brixton on Thursday, 18th June as part of our Cross The Tracks Thursday takeover series.
Known for blending R&B, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, edbl creates an organic, live sound, often performing guitar, keys, and other instruments himself over groovy, textured beats. A prolific collaborator, he has worked with over 50 artists, including Kazuki Isogai, IYAMAH, and Quinn Oulton, earning widespread recognition with over 100 million streams and support from BBC Radio 1Xtra and Jazz FM. From intimate “bedroom producer” beginnings to stages like Blue Note Tokyo and Ronnie Scott’s, edbl delivers a high-fidelity, live-band experience that fuses laid-back vibes with soulful energy. DJ Spen, one of the world’s most respected house DJs and producers, takes over Freight Brixton on Saturday, 20th June for a night of deep house, soulful grooves, and dancefloor energy. A pioneer of soulful house and garage, Spen has influenced the global scene for decades, delivering sets that blend timeless classics with underground gems.
He’ll be joined by an all-star supporting lineup, including Supa D, Booker T, Angie B, Neil Pearce, and teaser sets from Antonio Pascal, making this a night packed with heavyweight DJs and infectious rhythms

Sambroso All Stars presents the bueno vista

Led by Matanzas-born percussionist and bandleader Oreste “Sambroso” Noda, this London-based 7-piece collective brings the spirit of Cuba to the stage with high-energy tributes to Cuban Son, Rumba, and Latin Jazz. Known for their show “Sambroso All Stars present The Buena Vista,” the band celebrates the music of the Buena Vista Social Club, featuring top-tier London-based Cuban musicians on vocals, tres guitar, bass, and percussion. A cornerstone of the UK’s Cuban music scene, they deliver performances full of energy, joy, and “happiness through music.” Get ready for golden-era Cuban grooves, irresistible dance beats, and an unforgettable live experience.
